Day One                                  Day Three                                Day Five

This person in the photograph has given her consent for this photo to be placed on our website. Thank you. Results vary from individual to individual. We will leave the Seventh day result to your imagination.

Testimony:

“I am so grateful that I took up the sessions with GWT, they have helped me trim down my tummy.  Whenever I’m out with my baby, all the mummies (strangers) will say that I look like I’ve just given birth and commented “you don’t have any tummy!” although I regretted not approaching GWT for my first post-natal massage. But I’m happy and proud to say that I managed to lose whatever that was left excess from my first pregnancy and second pregnancy.”

Who Will Be Conducting the Massage?
GWTPL have trained all our masseuse professionally on a one to one basis to maintain the quality of standard on the service. We will not compromise on our standard of service to our customers. Any masseuse that GWTPL sends to you is trained to perform to the highest level of their knowledge and skills.

When Can The Massage Begin?
The sessions will usually commence from the 5th day to before 3 months (anytime in between). In the case that the mother is not comfortable upon reaching home and needs more time to adjust to the situation then the sessions can commence on a later date but as soon as possible maybe in a week or two as some people prefer this. This is for those who have gone through the process of normal birth.
In the event of a Caesarian Section (C-Section) then it must be performed after the incision has closed properly. The massage will then commence usually after 1 month.
Will The Massage Be Done At Home Or At The Clinic?

All post-natal massages will be done in the comfort of your own home.

What Items Do I Need For The Massage?
1. A comfortable single foamy mattress about 2 to 3 inches thick to be placed on the floor.
2. A big space as the masseuse will need to move around you since this is a full body massage from head to toe.
3. 2 big bath towels to cover yourself.
4. A small stack of used newspapers.

Is The Massage Going To Be Painful?
No, the massage sessions being done by us is not painful at all. There should not be more pain incurred by you then the one you are already having. Our masseuse are well trained to provide the right pressure to help eliminate your pain and not to give you more pain.

What To Expect For The Massage?
Arrangement will usually be made in the mornings as it is with traditional customs to begin the massage. The massage will last about 50 minutes and then will proceed to the wrapping that is the (bengkung). The length of the cloth varies from 12-16 metres. Your height and weight depicts the length of your cloth. You will have the cloth on for the whole day until the next morning when you remove it to shower and the same procedure takes place again. This repeats itself until the last day.

Can Aircon Be Used During The Massage Session?
We suggest that you use the aircon instead of fan as the wind from the fan gets into your system faster than the air-con. In Singapore the whether is so hot so please do not deprive yourself of it. You can call us for more information on this.

Do I Need To Buy Anything?
Yes but it is optional! That is the Abdominal Binder to wear after the eight days as on the last day there won’t be any cloth binding and you will need to use this to further hold the work that we have already done for your body. You have to get the brown velcro type for a good support. It can be bought from the hospital pharmacy and it comes in S, M & L. Ask the staff at the pharmacy to pick the right size for you. This binder is usually recommended for those undergoing C-section operation as well. For those who have the green OSIM brand type is also ok so you don’t have to make another purchase unnecessarily. On the last day the masseuse will teach you how to use this the right way. Our suggestion is not to buy the binder first because when you have just delivered your tummy will be quite big and the pharmacy will ask you to get an “L” size. Then after your 8 massage sessions with us you will go to an “M” size or “S” size. Usually what GWTPL do is we can buy it for you at no extra charge as an added service to our customers.

Will The Cloth Be Changed Every Day?
Yes, in our practice it is for good hygiene purposes that the cloth (bengkung) be changed every single day as the mother cannot bathe and understandably with all the nutritious food being cooked with ginger the perspiration is more. We have taken this into consideration and we use only 100% cotton cloth that is of thin consistency and very breathable but which gives very good effect on the body after the wrap. (2 bengkungs will be provided for each cusromer). Please bear in mind that the bengkung is used only for wrapping your body despite of the colours and patterns they come in. GWTPL have taken pains to make sure that each and every bengkung is sterealised for the next customers use. The older the cloth the better the feel for this trade as newer cloth always has a lot of starch in it and it takes a long time to get rid of it. Worse you will not feel comfortable in it.

Will My Tummy Be Flattened and Will I Lose Weight?
Yes. Both of this will happen simultaneously because with the wrapping (bengkung) around the waist, buttocks and hips being worn by the mother for at least 20-22 hours a day and continuously for 7 days will help the contraction of pelvic bones and flatten the tummy faster to pre-pregnancy stage so that the mother will not have to upsize her clothes. The wrap (bengkung) will be tightly woven around the body and because of this it is believed to decrease appetite which will eventually lead to weight loss. Mothers will need to do at least a minimum of seven bindings so see the results. This will also help with the faster contraction of the uterus countered with the massage given. Mothers who have taken Epidural and encounter back problems will also benefit GREATLY from this wrap.
NOTE: As our body chemistry varies from individual to individual so is the end results and the weight loss criteria. There are many contributary factors like how much a person eats, does she get enough sleep, what is her stress level like, does she have enough support, to what extend is her post-natal depression etc..

Can I still Breast Feed and Will My Movements Be Restricted?
Yes you can still breastfeed and no your movements will not be restricted. Even though the wrap (bengkung) is tightly wrapped around your body it will loosen up a bit when you walk so you will feel more comfortable later.

What Oils Are Used For The Body And Its Benefits?.
Only the best carrier oils that are 100% cold pressed (the best oil for Traditional Massage and the proper oil’s for any body massage) are used to provide a smooth consistency without causing any irritation to the skin and most importantly the oils dry off after about 2 – 3 hours giving mothers the non-sticky feeling. The tantalizing smell of the aroma is so soothing to the nose so you get the perfect unique Traditional Indonesian massage plus the therapeutic values of the essential oils and it is odorless when it dries up that no one knows you’ve had a massage. This particular oil that is being used have the contents of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, Vit K and Vit E and will help those with even very sensitive skin and eczema (dry or weeping). It will not cause any irritation to the skin. The base oil is then mixed with another 4 essential oils to give mothers the best care ever and the benefits are listed as below:-

pregnancy.

Will I Be Able To Go To The Hospital After The Massage And Tummy Wrap?.
Yes definitely. A Lot of babies are jaundiced after they are being born and it starts to show from the 2nd or 3rd day onwards and understandably the parents are anxious and would want to make trips down to the hospital. Our suggestion is to do the traditional massage in the morning before you go to the hospital so as not to miss a session and your body will feel more firm and everything in place further more as earlier mentioned there is no disgusting smell so no one needs to know you had a massage. The tummy wrap will not show under your clothing so don’t worry.

Will The Massage Be Done Continuously For Seven Days?
Yes for the benefit of the mother we suggest that it does go on straight for seven days including Saturdays and Sundays and Public Holidays. If you need to go for a check up yourself then try to make the arrangement with your gynae in the morning and then do the traditional massage and wrap later in the afternoon. This can be arranged for but usually the schedule on the other days stays fixed. Don’t worry there will be flexibility for trips to the hospital but on the other hand please do inform the masseuse early of your scheduled appointment so as not to inconvenience the other mothers that we are servicing.

Can I Change My Massage Timing Every Day To Suit My-Self?
It will be rather difficult for this as the masseuse has to attend to other post-natal customers and the masseuse’s schedule will run haywire as well. Please spare a thought for this. Post-natal sessions are usually done in the mornings which starts with the first customer at 8.00am the next one at 10.00am then 12.00pm and ends with the last customer at 2.00pm. GWTPL will not entertain last minute changes unless it is an emergency so as to be fair to all of our customers. Timing can only be changed if other mothers that we are servicing agrees to change their timing with you. If it is not possible then GWTPL will not be held responsible for this whatsoever.

Must I be Punctual For My Sessions?
Yes if possible with of course a plus five or ten minutes because if you are the first customer at 8.00am and if the masseuse has to wait half an hour and start the massage at 8.30am then the next customer at 10.00am will start at 10.30am and it will be the same for the rest. All will be pushed half an hour later because there is only one hour in between for the masseuse to travel to the next destination. In light of this GWTPL asks the co-operation of our customers to be on time.

When Must I Make The Booking / Payment?

Usually bookings for the post-natal massage is done three to six (3-6) months ahead. Normally customers would start their pre-natal massage (during pregnancy) at 3 months with us and carry through until birth and then followed by the post-natal massage. All you have to do for the post-natal massage booking is to send us a crossed cheque payable to “Golden Wellness Therapeutic Pte Ltd” with a sum of S$115 which is not refundable under any circumstances and post it to Golden Wellness Therapeutic Pte Ltd, 32B Upper Cross Street, Singapore 058339. When we receive your cheque we will sms you that GWTPL have received your cheque. Once the bank has made clearance on the amount then one of our staff will call you back to take down your details and only then the booking is confirmed.

The deposit is to confirm the booking and to reserve a place for you as priority is given to customers who have paid the downpayment. The balance of the total payment of the package is usually collected on the last day of service provided, which is on the 7th day and the payment terms is cash. Please keep this sms as a receipt of deposit as no other receipts will be issued due to the uncertain timing of delivery.

What If I Have Delivered But Do Not Have A Booking ?

If you have delivered and do not have a booking then do not despair as we keep some slots for this type of cases. But there is a difference to it in a sense that you have to pay the whole lump sum of the payment in cash on the first day of service as per GWTPL’s Company Policy and in all fairness to those who had made their booking earlier i.e. 3-6 months before their delivery date.
